The
location is Newington, CT in 1950 at the site of the
Clyde Beaty Circus. After the July 1944 Hartford circus tent fire,
departments around the country stationed fire apparatus at all large tent
shows as a precaution to prevent another large tent fire. 166 people died in
the Hartford fire!
