Guest Motorman

The Guest Motorman program at the Connecticut Trolley Museum allows you to be in control of one of our trolleys.

You start out with one of our instructors where you get a training lesson of the operations of the railway and how our old trolleys function. Then under their guidance, you then operate a trolley car over our railway... twice! For the two times you go out and back on our 1.5 mile railway, you will be able to say you motored a trolley car 6 miles!

The cost of the program is $55.00 and includes the two trips operating a trolley car. Four of your friends and family may join you along for the memorable ride. If there's more people you'd like to bring along for the experience, there will be an additional charge. Also included is an individual membership to the Connecticut Trolley Museum.

The time learning about the railway and operating the trolley car is approximately 90 minutes.
